- Availability: WiFi service is provided on an ‘as is’ basis and there is no guarantee of; uninterrupted, error-free service or bandwidth.
- Security: When you connect to a website, information travels from your device to the website. That could include sensitive data like the log in information for your financial, email, or social media accounts. Most websites use encryption to protect your information. Because of the widespread use of encryption, connecting through a public WiFi network is usually safe. Data security is your responsibility. Whidbey Telecom encourages you to secure your data appropriately.
- How do you know your connection is encrypted? Look for a lock symbol or https in the address bar to the left of the website address. This works on a mobile browser, too. It can be hard to tell if a mobile app uses encryption, check with your app.
- Limitation of Liability: Whidbey Telecom, its subsidiaries and affiliate companies, are not liable for any loss or damage you incur as a result of connecting to a Whidbey WiFi hotspot.
