| Long Distance Telecommunications Pricelist Western Long Distance, Inc., dba Whidbey Telecom Long Distance, adba Whidbey Long Distance, Point Roberts Long Distance and Hat Island Long Distance, (“Company”) has today issued revisions to the Company’s Price List. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently issued a Public Notice indicating an increase in the prescribed federal universal service contribution factor. Therefore, you will see an increase in the federal Universal Service Fund (USF) surcharge on your Whidbey Telecom Long Distance interstate charges beginning with your December 1, 2024 bill and applicable to calls made subsequent to October 20, 2024. The new USF surcharge is 35.8%. The revised Price List has an effective date of October 21, 2024. Access to 911 or E911 service may be limited or not available from telephones connected through this device in certain circumstances, including impairment or loss of power or Internet access. Also, in some circumstances, the telephone number and/or service address assigned to this device may not display correctly to 911/E911 personnel. If you move your device to another physical address, you must update the address for the device to facilitate accurate identification of your address by 911/E911 personnel.
